Tips for cgs with anxious littles:

1. Reassurance!

They’re gonna need a lot of reassurance that you’re not mad at them, or ignoring them, or that you still love them. It sounds silly, I know, but anxious people tend to have low self esteem, and reminding them that you think the world of them can really help them!

2. Repetition!

Anxiety is really scary, especially when you don’t know what’s going to happen next. Make it practice to have at least a little bit of a typical schedule. Obviously, too much repetition can create boredom or even over anxiety when any little change comes up, but a little bit of repetition can be really calming!

3. Comfort Items!

List of anxiety calming scents:

Generalized anxiety (and many other forms of anxiety) often manifest as separation anxiety especially in younger ages. Comfort items can help to curb it an enormous amount. Stuffies, for example are a great comfort item for littles to have. A good thing to do is spray it with a perfume or cologne you normally wear to help remind your little of you while you’re gone.

4. Comforting Scents!

Candles (keep fire away from the children, obviously), scentsies, incense, and bath salts are good ways to calm an anxious little through aromatherapy!

List of anxiety calming scents:

Lavender

Rose

Vetiver

Ylang Ylang

Bergamot

Chamomile

Frankincense

Clary Sage

Jasmine

Sandal Wood

Being a Daddy is HARD.

Being a Daddy is hard work. It really is. You’ve got a heck of a list of responsibilities. You take care of your little one every single day. You make sure they feel loved and wanted. You make sure they’re safe and happy.

But you have to remember:

  • You are APPRECIATED
  • You are LOVED
  • You are NEEDED.

God, you are so needed. Never forget that.

We know your job is hard. We love you for taking on this role. We do.

what really goes through a littles head when you don’t answer a text

littlekittenspac3:

“I’m getting to clingy aren’t I?”

“I texted them too much didn’t I?”

“They don’t want me anymore do they?”

“I’m not good enough to be a little am I?”

“I did something wrong I know it”

“I need to stop being so clingy and needy”

all of these things happen and can cause someone to drop from happy giggly little space into sad distant big space so next time you slide away a notification because you’re busy try to respond saying “hey little one I would love to talk right now but I’m busy I’ll text you later though cutie” trust me it can make all the difference
